Playing Sim City 3000 in Windows 10

@TrueEmpire, @All How can I do this? I assume a no-cd crack is found on Napster, Limewire or similar P2P program but I don't use them. I'm more interested in learning how to re-enable the SafeDisc drivers. Can anyone explain to me how to do this?

  • Hi @haufsnaggle - The old CDs for SimCity 3000 will absolutely not run on Windows 10. They were made with a special kind of copy protection called SecuRom. The only way to run the game in Windows 10 is to get a digital copy. To run the CD, you need to use Windows 98 or re-enable the service on a copy of Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1. This article has detailed instructions, if you have a way to run one of those old operating systems and want to go that route.

I would recommend that you look at purchasing it at gog.com. Bonus is that it is currently on sale for 75% off!
