Second Hand Sim City Product Code 'Already been used'

Hi,

So my friend game me a second hand copy of SimCity (2013) recently. When I tried to install it onto my PC, I put in the disc; Installed Origin; Put in the product code and thats where I had the problem.

So when I put the code in it said it was 'Already in use'. Is this because the game is second-hand?

If so, how can I activate my SimCity in other ways/get a new product key?

Thanks for the help,

Oscar

EA does not support the transfer of registered games between player accounts, sorry.

  • You have to buy the game. It's still has broken issues that will never be fixed because Maxis is gone.

Only way they will transfer a game between accounts is if you own both accounts and they will merge the accounts together. A family member had two because he forgot he owned one then bought Dragon Age Inquisition and EA support got his two accounts combined. He had a struggle doing that but they will not do that if the accounts are in different names.

I would suggest buying Cities Skylines over this abandoned game at this point. At least Skylines still has devs working on it. Steam had it on sale just this past weekend.

  • is it still not on free software ??
i lost my old account and have no product key, do i still have to buy a digital copy of the game ???

lets bring back the good games !
