Sim City 4 Delux not working with Windows 10

Hi

I and many users are having big problems with the above.  I have a physical copy of the game with the Sim City Societies expansion and I can not get it to work.  I am lead to believe it is to with Microsoft not including the necessary OS support files for validating SafeDisc2 copy protection with windows 10.

I am also lead to believe that because i have a physical copy of the game and the Product Key that i can download the digital copy of the game free of charge.

Can I do this? and how do I do it?

    Your game is twelve years old now.  It isn't supported in the current game's forum, but rather as one of the "Other EA Games" in that particular catchall forum.

    so what my game is 12 years old, I still like to play it and why can't ea support the game

    FYI, Answer HQ is NOT "EA" as such.  We are members of the gamer community here, doing self-help.  The official customer support, if they will do it for this antique of yours, is found on Help Center, not here.  Meanwhile, the message thread is now where it belongs.
