SimCity - How do I remove this DLC?

Hello, Ive been a SimCity player since 2013 (this is my new account) I bought the complete addition on this account and with it comes the cities of tomorrow DLC, the DLC changes the menu, the soundtrack and the opening. It ruins the game alot for me, I want to feel the nostalgia when I open the game. the DLC is kinda outdated now because the way people saw the future back in 2014 is a lot different than what we would think of now. I was wondering if there was a way to remove the DLC's files or change it so I can have the original game opening and menu.

  • Hi @1ZPN4 - If you own the base game separately, you might be able to accomplish this by completely uninstalling SimCity and Origin The Hard Way. You will want to be sure to delete any SimCity folders left in your Documents folder, too. Then reinstall Origin, and choose to install only the SimCity base game. Watch the queue, and cancel anything for Cities of Tomorrow.

If you only have the SimCity Complete on your account, I don't think it will allow you to install parts, although you could try, in case it queues them separately.

My only other suggestion would be to contact customer service & ask if they would temporarily remove the dlcs from your account, until you get the base game installed. I don't know if that's an option, but could be worth a shot. Go to https://help.ea.com/ and choose to Manage Your Account.

I would be very interested to know if you're able to do this. There have been similar requests in the past, but I've not heard back on whether any of these options actually work.

    Good luck, and Happy Building!
