Simcity (2013) Install - Product Code Activated

Greetings,

I found an old copy of SimCity (2013) in a box of stuff and wanted to install and play it.  I ran into some issues with the Origin install, but finally found the right file and got that working.

However, when I try to either install the game from disk or go through Origin, when it asks for the product code it won't accept it saying that the code is already activated.

What puzzles me is that install instructions say 'If you have already purchased a title and would line to install it on another PC, first download and install Origin on the other PC, then launch the application and log in with your origin account. Select the appropriate title from the list that appears and click the start button to download the game.'

None of that works for me.  

Someone please help.

    Hi @mattkuae23 - Once you've linked the product code to an Origin account, it can't be used on another account. When you log into Origin, all games you've registered on that account will appear in the "My Game Library" section, regardless of what computer you log into. There is no need to register the product code again.

    In situations like this, where you're not seeing the game listed, it was probably registered under an old Origin account name. Try logging in with any old email addresses you might have used back then. If you find the game under an old account, you can either play on that account or take steps to combine accounts.
