I have a genuine retail copy of SimCity 3000 which was launched in 1999. My son was 10 years old then, and liked the game very much. But life went on and the game was kept as a memory.
As I met someone who has a kid to whom I think the game could be helpfull, I remembered I have it and so I tried to install it on my Windows 7 home edition laptop to see if it worked ok.
Unfortunately the game wont install although the splash screen shows and no error message comes up when I click the install buton. Then something happens that I can't see what it is (some instantaneous screen flickering happens) the authorization to execute the file appears and, as I agree to the installation the cursor sign turns to the wait circle and when this stops nothing more happens.
And when I searche for the game files there are none on my computer.
Even when I use Windows 7 capacity to force file execution on compatibility issues using Windws 98 specs it doesn't work.
Is there any chance I can use the game in my 64 byte Windows 7 computer with intel Core i5 and Nvidia Geforce with CUDA?
