Hey guys, try disabling Origin in-game. It works for me somehow.
Game list -> Right-click on SImCity -> Game Properties -> Disable Origin In-game
1. Your workaround should work for the single player mode. This week, EA made changes in the Origin client that affected many different games in one way or another, and has been very slow undoing the error.
2. Please do not dig in the deepest, farthest corners of the graveyard of old threads. There are many more recent threads that would have been much more meaningful for you to add a comment along the same lines as you have done.
I find it sad that you're bagging on a guy who solved a bunch of people's problems, including my own. Shame on EA for breaking Origin compatibility with their own games. How about we honor the community members that take the time to find a workaround while EA pulls their head out of their butt.
