Simcity Crash OSX 10.13

Same here. Nothing I try has solved the issue.

Just an update to this,

I've just applied the Supplementary update for 10.13 - In the change log it mentioned a graphics bugfix relating to crashes in Adobe (wishful thinking I know).

It hasn't changed the behaviour with Simcity; it still bombs out with the same error text as I originally posted.

The same thing has happened to me also. I can't figure out what it is. It's a big bummer because I really enjoyed playing simcity. Before it took a lot longer to crash, now it's gradually crashed earlier and earlier into the game. I can't even get the first main road down before it just closes. It's really quite annoying. It's gotta be something within the high sierra update that clashes with it. But there needs to be an update to the game if that's the case. It was working fantastic before I did the update, now I'm almost regretting it. 

I was searching for a completely different problem but found a random one-line post from someone about Mac graphics. Thought I'd pop in and at least let you know, in case it's relevant. They said to make sure to turn off Automatic Graphic Card Switching in the Energy Saver menu; if you don't the game will incur frame rate and freezing issues.

This was a quick response to someone who mentioned upgrading to a Macbook Pro, and was made a few years ago, but it might at least give you an area to check for this newest update?

As I know nothing about Macs, please forgive if this has no relevance and is a stupid thought. 

It might be because my macbook pro is an older model(2013), but I don't have that option under energy saver. Even looked up the graphics specs and only have one listed. So that's not the issue with it for me, was worth a try though. It's so strange because it was working fine before until High sierra came along. 

It is a shame, because they've stopped issuing updates to this game and people are starting to have issues with upgraded drivers and operating systems that the game was never built to understand. I'm currently running this on an old PC with Windows Vista, not sure what if anything I'll be able to do with my new pc. I have read about their newer game, City Skylines, that is supposed to be "better". May have to look into leaving Simcity behind. 

Hey guys... Since I installed Simcity on my Macbook air (early 2014 and HIgh Sierra installed) I also have crash issues. Sometimes in the middle of the game, the game crashes and terminate. Does anyone know how to solve it or have any clue to address that? I'm to disappointed with it once I spent $30 on it and cannot play. Thanks!

I just tried to play it again today after not playing it for a while , got about 4 roads placed and it crashed again. Still waiting to see if a fix is issued somewhere, hopefully there will be. But for now I'll just play Cities Skylines I guess. Though it's not my favorite building system to work with. 

I may have stumbled across something here; I've been playing with the graphics settings in the game and it seems to have helped the stability of the game.

I've set all of the graphics options to their lowest option/value (excluding the resolution, which I left at what it was already set at).

I'm not certain of the long-term stability impacts (not had enough time to play the game for any real amount of time), but it seemed to help with the stability.
