SimCity keeps freezing (NOT BSOD or windows error)???

Hi, I've seen a lot of posts about SimCity constantly crashing with a blue screen of death or windows error but mine just simply freezes? I'll be playing for about 30 mins to an hour or sometimes if...

Either the game is crashing and brings me to the desktop or my PC is crashing and restarts.

I read in another thread, that it could help to set the light effects/graphics to a lower preference. (going to sleep now, so I don´t know if that helps)

EU West 3 btw (considered to change the server but the cities and achievements are bound with the server -.-).
