SimCity keeps freezing (NOT BSOD or windows error)???

I've been experiencing this now every time I load the game for the past 24 hours... with 3 cities... running no other processes / applications that would interfere, 75% physical memory available, PC that meets all the specs (and some)...

East server 3.

Launched via Origin....

Very frustrating...

Can EA EVER launch a game bug free (Sims 3 expansions seem to make that more and more unplayable... & FIFA13 was a joke with it's "invisible ball" and Ultimate Team issues)
