SimCity not installing
I have an issue downloading/installing SimCity.
When I open Origin, the game automatically goes in the download manager queue, where it says that its "controlling game files".
It takes a few seconds, then it says that its finished, but i still can't launch the game!! It is still only possible to click "install"!
I have talked with EA support twice, i have tried everything!! I have restarted origin, deleted all origin files, uninstalled origin, reinstalled origin.
I have deletes chaches(?), and restarted my Mac at least 10 times.
I have also started it in safe mode. The origin "app" was weird in safe mode. It was very zoomed in, and i wasn't able to click on anything, or scroll the page.
I have tried every single thing i have found on google/EA site/origin/answer HQ.
Im starting to lose my mind.
I haven't played since March, so i don't know if this problem happened before or after i upgraded my Mac to the newest version, macOS Catalina 10.15.
All my other games work totally fine, no problems at all.. so it has to be something with the SimCity game.
I don't know what to do, any suggestions?
Dont know if i bother chatting with EA again, been on there/this for almost 5 hours!!
Hi @elinejosefineh - Unfortunately, starting with MacOS Catalina 10.14, Apple no longer supports 32-bit applications. Since SimCity is a 32-bit game, it will not currently install or run on Catalina.
You can find more information and some potential workarounds here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/SimCity-2013/Mac-SimCity-and-MacOS-Catalina/m-p/8298578#M127940
