SimCity Societies Item already added.

I have just purchased SimCity Societies and have downloaded and installed it. The game boots and pulls up the play menu where I can select the game. As soon as the game itself starts booting, however, I get an error message reading: Item already added. Key in dictionary; 'path'. Key being added: 'path'. And the game crashes and never loads. Are there any solutions to fix this bug?
