Starting Game After Installation

Sim City appears in my Library and the logo appears at the right upon click.  There is an "Install" button (I thought I already had!) on the game logo, but no "Start Game" button.  Nothing happens when I click "Install".  Arrrgh!  What can I do to play the game I've paid for?

  • Hi @markhoman55 - Are you on a Mac or PC?

If on a Mac - Apple dropped support for 32-bit games like SimCity, beginning with MacOS Catalina 10.15. There is more information in this post: https://answers.ea.com/t5/SimCity-2013/Mac-SimCity-and-MacOS-Catalina/m-p/8298578#M127940 , including some options for running 32-bit games after upgrading to Catalina.

If on a PC, please reply back with a copy of your dxdiag.

    How to DxDiag

    To post your DxDiag:

    1. Select the 'Choose file' button below the post box

    2. Find the DxDiag file and select it - hit Open

    3. Add text to your post and hit Submit

Thanks for the input!  I'll check out the link you sent.  I have a MAC and am unhappy that i saw no reference to the fact that Apple dropped support for 32-bit games like SimCity as I was selecting and paying for the game.  If it was obvious and I missed it, then shame on me, otherwise...
