yes me as well, this is horrible and i want my money back too

Also having this issue, I was hoping to be able to come home from work and play but apparently that won't be happening. Agree with everyone else, it was a horrible idea to make this game online based. Just give us the files and let us choose to play online with friends or not. Come on guys.

Don't worry guys once you get into the game it's nothing but bugs anyway, it's locked up on me three times now.  I just want to say I've NEVER had anything close to this much trouble getting into a game on steam.  But then again they're a good company to deal with.  Who employ competent people that do there jobs properly.

I'm having this issue as well.

What a joke.  Piss poor release.  Their online chat wait time is 255-260 minutes, their "call me" option is grayed out, and there is no way to email their help group.  I've been waiting months for this game, paid $80 well in advance, and after 2 hours of trying to install, update and log on, I can finally hear the music and create a region... only problem is I'm unable to create my city at this time.  Really, I'm unable to create my city at any freaking time.

Great job EA.  Great job.  You've lost a loyal fan today.  Having read hundreds of these posts, it appears you've lost a few of them.  I hope the credit card charge backs sting just a little.

Next time make a game that doesn't require playing online.  If you haven't purchased this game yet, good luck.

I am having this issue as well. When will there be a resolution?

Dude, its not competent when all this stuff is happening to the end user. Battlefield 3 was like this when it first launch, now simcity...the "competent people" clearly haven learn their lesson..its about customer satisfaction and trust in their product. I think they have did a pretty good job in tarnishing though.

It seems there's been no official word ANYWHERE in this forum. It seems likely you won't even get an answer until tomorrow at the earliest.
