I just bought a brand new Sim City 4 Deluxe game. It installed fine with both discs but it will not launch after installing. I try to open it and it says to try running it with administrator priviledges. I am the administrator!!!
Not a happy camper.

Running as admin is not the exact same as being the admin. Could you try right clicking the game and selecting "Run as administrator"?

I have checked around some more for you and I think I found the solution.
The default installation folder for Simcity 4 is C:\Program Files (x86). This directory needs administration privileges and it just does not work with Simcity 4; it might indeed be a compatibility issue.
To fix this, completely uninstall your game and install it in the C:\Program Files directory--the two folders look alike, just make sure you choose the one without x86.
