1 shirt 7 ways to monetize it.

Aren't you guys (skate team) embarrassed by the lengths you'll go to monetize? Like you're literally monetizing individual colours.

Like look at the half-assed effort put into the Dickie shorts.. literally took the generic shorts, made them Brown and slapped a sticker on it.

  • This is also the case with the Vans jeans. Identical to the free ones except they have a little Vans logo that gets covered up by t-shirts and jackets. 😂

  • I dunno why they think people won't notice this stuff, but like you'd think they would try a little harder.

  • I don't even really mind it, it's just that, when fortnite releases a skin it's a whole NEW model for like $10 or something.

No matter how hard I agree that monetization should not be like this, we have habitually taught companies that we are fundamentally okay with these anti-consumerist practices via giving them money for things that used to be unlocks and so on.

Companies are currently now just testing the parameters we will put up with in this context, look at Mortal Kombat 12 (inappropriately named MK1) compared to this or this compared to Fortnite as examples to analyze yourself.
