buying locked items on the zine

I don’t know if it’s just me that is misunderstanding what’s written or if it’s actually not working right in my game but on the items that are locked in the zine it’s written that you have to collect all the other objets to unlock them. However, I have bought all the items that are unlocked and it seems that the others don’t unlock so I’m wondering if paying the skate.Pass is the only way to unlock the items.
