Audio, Gameplay, Graphics, Level, Skater, & UI Feedback
This is a discussion I will consistently modify, crediting other users on the EA Forums for additional ideas.
Audio
Music
Add new independent alternative and punk artists/bands to the soundtrack.
Gameplay
Physics
Occasional board breaks and truck breaks from heights that would generally be difficult, yet also possible within the game’s physics, to land from.
Knee slides on slightly more-than-sketchy transition landings that would typically result in an incredibly unnatural and unsatisfying landing animation.

Tricks
Natas Spin.
Freestyle tricks.
Camera
Camcorder style.
Spray paint and grafitti.
Quick Drop
Skate 3 Park Editor style quick drop physics. (Credit: BlakeNLikeJake on EA Forums)
Graphics
Time of day
Changing sun color temperature throughout the day and a night time.
Levels
Private Park Builder
A private park builder that is functionally indifferent from previous EA Skate titles.
Legacy Skate franchise locations.
Port Carverton.
San Vanelona.
DLC maps like Danny Way’s Hawaiian Dream or Black Box Skatepark but renamed to “Full Circle Skatepark” for example.
Community Parks
Establish a mechanism for community parks to be genuinely built by the Skate. community, perhaps first adding a private park builder and using that as a template.
Skater
Apparel
Layered clothing.
Variety of plain, generic clothing including color options.
Accessories
BLACK SOCKS.
Compression garments.
Sperate Knee pads and elbow pads.
Helmets that don’t make skaters bald.
If it exists in the real world add it; Painted fingernails, tattoos, etc; Suits, skinny/fat ties, golf shirts, collared shirts, oversized shirts, chinos, etc.
Board
Rails, copers, nose bones, and tailbones that allow for smoother long grinds and slides.
Different bearing materials that provide a speed boost.
Wheel sizes from 52mm to 64mm that slightly increase or decrease speed, especially on transition or flat.
Wheel durometer (hardness) that affects power slides.
Variety of old and new deck shapes that ay influence or decrease pop and increase or decrease trick difficulty.
Appearance
More diversity in skater faces.
Throwdowns
S.K.A.T.E.
Custom Own the Spot mode where players pick the spot.
Best Trick.
Player customizable death races where players choose the checkpoint(s).
Team Throwdowns
1-Up.
Domination.
Physical Shops
Rename “Shops” to “Skate Shops.”
Skate shop interiors should reflect the area of the map (Brickswitch etc.).
Skater Apparel, Accessories, and Board modifications would be made at skate shops rather than the menu.
Instead of the “Equip” option following purchasing or unlocking n item, the user will instead be prompted to skate to their nearest skate shop.
Boards, clothing “The Shop” menu would now be in skate shops.
Hall of Meat
Add ‘Hall of Meat’ as a user changeable setting that replaces ‘Impervatech’ but with a parental warning. This change should add the ‘broken bones’ effect upon slams as well as Hall of Meat styled UI.
Pro Teams
Player-created pro teams with a clan tag and rank.
User Interface (UI)
Cutscenes
Toggle to enable/disable cutscenes.
Fast Travel
Unlockable objective fast travels upon full completion–both co-op and solo–of an objective.
Menus
The ability to open the Menu during an objective, but with limited function.
Legacy skate user interfaces, either in purchasable form or otherwise.
The addition of a ‘Save’ option within the settings submenus of General, Gameplay, Audio and Accessibility.
Drop namable pins on the map that can be both saved and deleted.
Vee
It’s a shot in the dark but: Replace Vee with Coach Frank.
