People are taking it upon themselves to run up to players and use the beckon emote to make it look like they’re assaulting the unfortunate player. A player named [removed] was running around and doing it to everyone near the otl in Grom.
Edit: I don’t care what you don’t want taken from the game, if it’s being use to harass others it needs to change.

I did read the bug report, and it is a possible bug, so absolutely, that should be tested further! An important point of that thread is that the solution isn't just 'get a microphone'. The solution is undetermined at the moment until the devs can test out what could be happening. They were asking if you had a headset you could further test with, in an attempt to isolate the root of the problem and fix it more efficiently.
Please understand that no one has disagreed with your point here that it's an unreasonable action by a player. I do, however, disagree with the statements that EA/full circle and responders in this thread are fine with this sort of thing.
To get back into a more productive discussion, what would your fix be?
Automated bans are unpredictable, and false positives are possible, meaning players who have done nothing wrong could be griefed by player reports and get temp/perma banned incorrectly. Human review of reports takes time and patience from players. Outside of those two usual methods in games, do you have any ideas for a better option?
Yeah so if you actually read the bug report, I stated that voice chat doesn’t work through my controller microphone and nothing plays through the speakers when they speak and drowns out the music in the game. I was in no way concerned about hearing others, in fact I shut it off. It was more irritating than it was worth. The solution was “get a microphone” lol…
While I agree the title is a bit much and others shouldn't be penalized for the wrong doing of others I still feel something should be done other than what I’m receiving from for calling this crap out.
HekinGoober it's an interesting contrast that you both want the beckon emote removed, and as of a day ago, have requested that you wish to hear voice chat in parties.
I'd argue 4 player voice chat is a lot more intense than a single person frustrating you for a bit with an emote. For example, when you join a party of randoms, and the others use the worst language imaginable, does that mean voice chat should be entirely removed for everyone? Of course not, all we should do as players is report and leave/move along.
Like Awicb mentioned, that's what the report and block functions are for, and no one is arguing for the allowance of harassment in the game; we agree that the player doing that was uncalled for and is an example of a bannable offense. We only mean to point out that it was a single user, others should not be penalized for that singular action by one.
Yes I know that, I actually said that on these forums just a day or two ago when someone asked about reports.
But you are literally unable to know how many times someone has been reported, and so if everyone who attempted to report someone ended up not bothering because they are just one person and one person isn't enough, nobody will ever get banned. This is the industry standard for moderation
It's a game, champ, relax. You strike me as a person too afraid to ask for more ketchup let alone stand up for yourself in real life with this attitude

You can launch your character from a skyscraper and slam into the ground at terminal velocity before treflipping a 40 stair double set like its nothing but some, likely child, spamming a harmless emote gets you all in a tizzy?
I avoid doing OTL’s for this reason, it’s such an irritation
It’s almost every time I’m waiting around an OTL that someone comes up and does this to everyone also waiting. Makes the game not enjoyable when they follow you everywhere.
I shouldn’t have to cower and run from some **bleep** in a game I want to play.
The system isn’t working properly if this keeps happening.
