Controller not working correctly

I was able to play a few times, but now the mapping to my controller isn't working (PC). The ABXY act as the d pad, and all I can do is ollie with the right stick. X is mapped to L1, Y is mapped to R2 (I think), and there are all sorts of other issues. It registers my controller at the beginning, but pressing A does nothing to start. I'm not going to try to play like this, but I'm not sure if it's a problem for me or the game. I tried a wired controller, Bluetooth controller, launching through Steam and doing the Steam input thing, and nothing fixes it.
