Definitely Needs Work

I loved skate 3 and was super excited for this game. But immediately after loading this game up, I have some issues. First thing I noticed was the skating just feels off, like it’s too floaty, like if there wasn’t enough gravity. Even when going up a pretty steep ramp, I barely slow down at all. Next issue is the character sensitivity, I barely bump into anything and I’m ragdolling, for example, I was just cruising around, and my arm grazed a light pole and I got flung off my board. My next issue, and this is the big one, is loot boxes, I understand game devs need to make money, but this is a disgusting practice. Having to spend real money to open a box to get a randomly selected prize is literally just virtual gambling, mainly targeted towards kids. I’m seriously considering deleting the game and never touching the franchise again because of this. Overall the game looks decent but it lacks the soul and charm of the previous skate games. I’m very disappointed.
