Feature Suggestion: “Allow Party Start” for Party Settings
TL;DR:
Only the party leader can start challenges, which is limiting. Adding an option that allows trusted party members to start challenges would make group sessions smoother and reduce the responsibility on the leader.
Description:
As you know, starting challenges is restricted to the party leader. This function works for random groups, but becomes restrictive when playing with friends or anyone you trust. If the leader steps away, gets stuck in a menu, or simply wants others to keep the flow going, the party has no way to continue challenges until the leader returns.
A simple toggle in the Social Settings menu would solve this. Something like “Allow Party Start” would let the leader decide whether challenge control is exclusive or shared. This maintains the default system while giving more freedom to friend groups who want a smoother experience.
This feature would fit naturally with the existing party settings, "Allow Party Start", "Allow Direct Join", and similar privacy options. It keeps gameplay flowing when everyone in the group is on the same page.
Why it’s useful:
- Reduces downtime if the leader is busy or away
- Keep gameplay flowing in coordinated friend groups
- Adds more flexibility without breaking default systems
- Works cleanly with current party privacy options
Example:
The attached mock-up shows where this option could be added as another toggle, along with a possible title and description. This is only a concept and is meant as a small QoL upgrade.
