Maps
Take the community parks out and instead replace them with handmade parks that change monthly and could be inspired by real skateparks around the world. Emphasis on no ai generation. take the community parks, and create a separate map just for them. Change daily. add tutorial map as a “teleport-able” location as well. bam 3 maps. improving the first. keeping ai community parks adding a “3rd” map tutorial islandFeedback and Suggestions
I have been playing Skate. for a few days, and I have enjoyed it, particularly completing challenges with other people online. I wanted to make some suggestions that I think would be fun or helpful. Map and Locations I think the map and the player's compass could use cardinal directions (North, South, East and West). It would be helpful for navigation and this is the first game I have played with the compass system (like Skyrim, etc.) that does not include cardinal directions. It would be fun to have NPCs of different ages walking around town. Like children and the elderly. I like the NPC reactions to nearly hitting them, but it would be fun if once in a while you could knock them over. This is a thought I had, but I always look in the food trucks to see if anyone is working. I think it would be fun to see some NPC workers and customers in some of them. One of the funnest NPC locations is on the pier where everyone is sitting on the benches that you can grind and they all run away. But that is the only funny location with NPCs I have found. I like to explore, and a fun system to implement might be to find secret trophies/challenge points in obscure locations -- like Goat Simulator. Music I like collecting music at the speakers. I wish the music menu would be more clear on which playlists and songs I have discovered, and maybe 'unknown' markers for playlists and songs I have not yet found. It is fun to collect and find new music. So far, the selection of music is fun. I do wonder if all the 'Beach Boys' style stuff is AI generated, however. I would prefer music created by contemporary and historical musicians rather than AI if that is the case. The music player controls could use a previous and next button. Both times I wanted to favorite a song, it had already passed and there was no way to find which song it was until it looped back around. The music player should understand that when it is paused or stopped that it needs to stay paused or stopped. If one wants to listen to their own music at home, the game restarts its own music at the beginning of each challenge, and sometimes just because a speaker nearby starts playing. I am a big fan of classical music. As a nitpick the Opera Buffo music collection is actually all Opera Seria and I actually think the choices on the playlist are difficult to skate to. The death sequence from Don Giovanni where he is dragged to hell by demons is a bold choice to put on there. If you need suggestions on opera songs that have a good beat to skate to, I can help. Some examples: Handel - "Dopo Notte" from Ariodante, "Or la tromba" from Rinaldo Vivaldi - "Agitata da due venti" from Griselda, "Or che cinto ho il crin d'alloro" from Il Giustino Mozart - "Marten aller arten" from Die Entführung aus dem Serail, "Non piu andrai" from The Marriage of Figaro. Bizet - ""Les tringles des sistres tintaient" (Gypsy song) from Carmen Sullivan - "I am the very model of a modern major general" from The Pirates of Penzance Clothing I would like my male character to have shirtless and open shirt options influenced by the Z-boys and the Lords of Dogtown. They always had some 70s style that included no shirt, or no shoes, but often did have skate pads. I know Elder scrolls online provides female equivalents to the male costumes with what are essentially sports bras. It would be fun to have tattoo and tattoo placement options even if just relegated to six places such as Left Arm, Right Arm, Chest, Back, Left Leg, Right Leg. The 80s fashion is fun. It would be nice to see 70s fashion like the Z-boys. I am sure you will get to it in time. Formal fashion would be cute, like suits and ties or ballgowns -- which would be funny to mix with board shorts. The game provides fashion that is distinctly fashionable, and it might be fun to have some things that are distinctly not -- such as straw hats, overalls, a diaper, a cape, onesie, etc. Dyed hair options would be fun. Gameplay The daily and weekly tasks often do not register as being complete. This can be frustrating for more difficult achievements. There doesn't seem to be a location for players to join teams with strangers. I have not had difficulty forming teams, but it would be nice if there was a zone where players could match up. I enjoy that the fast travel points open through progression and that the tall building points come with later levels. I think that encourages exploration. I would like to be able to grab on to cars in the style of Back to the Future.Time for change?
Is now the time for the devs to listen to the fans and make major changes to save the game? I'm not sure how accurate they are, but the chart you can find online of daily users are showing peaks of around 3,000. I don't know a huge amount about the mechanics of microtransactions, but I think that EA will need more than this to keep the game afloat. If the devs want to reach out, I’m more than happy to provide some suggestions, and I’m sure there are many others here who would also. I’d love to see this game succeed as it has been such a wait since Skate 3. The game has a fanbase to support it, if changes can be made. What’s with the clothes
Can we get some normal straight legged pants in the game maybe some actual cool shirts. Everything is baggy or capris. I’m tired of wearing shorts. Also why is there so much girl clothes. Where’s all the guy clothes at. All the clothes they’ve put out are completely wack! Put skate clothes on there. If they could add a college or school to skate as well. That’d be dope!Stats and leader boards
Id like to see my all time stats and other players stats and would like to see online leader boards for each stat example: highest score, longest grind, most challenges complete, and so on This would make things alot more interesting for us players and it would bring the competitive side of the game to table, it would give us something to grind for, seeing our name in the top 10 on the leader board SnowDorr33 - Throwdown ChampionVersatile Clothing
Love the options for clothing in the game, but would love to see some options on how to wear what is available. For example, any flat brim hat such as the Thrasher forward facing flat brim, should have customization options to wear backwards or at angles. Hoodies and long sleeves should have option to roll up sleeves, or to open the buttons on flannels or wear around waist. T shirts, how about an option to remove sleeves. Pants, how about options to roll up the legs or cut short into shorts.Add mire custom options for the character
No tatoos, no piercings, no colorful hair (just white, brown, blonde and red hair) , basic ahh clothes, no jewellery, no sick colorful neons outside eelside tunnel, no day-night cycle, no weather cycle, no snow anywhere in the map for winter, but we have poorly designed skateparks (looks like an AI made them) and a laggy physic engine who makes some challenges nearly impossible without trying for 3 hours straight (we can't change grind assist or any setting without giving up challenge and start over) , all that for 100 ticks. Please, make skate, a good skate game.feedback/feature requests
(played on PC and PS5) Sorry in advance for how long this is; I’ve apparently got lots of thoughts, haha. And I don’t know how to be concise… I’ve tried to at least somewhat organize them, though? On Cosmetics I’d like to be able to select/preview the items in product boxes. I know you can “view box content,” but that only gives a small image of each item rather than being able to actually preview them the way you can with items from the rest of the shop and the zines. This is especially frustrating when it comes to stickers and profile pictures. Maybe this is just me, but sometimes I find it difficult to tell whether something is a sticker or a profile picture (usually it’s fairly clear, but not always). Even without that specific issue, though, it would just be really nice to be able to preview product box items the same way as other items instead of just getting a teeny little preview picture. On a somewhat similar note, I feel you should be able to zoom in/out when viewing cosmetics (in the shop, zines, your own inventory, or anywhere else). I’ve seen several cosmetics (most especially––but not solely––intricate board art) where it’s been difficult to tell what it really looks like since I can’t zoom in to get a better look at the details. As for zooming out, that would be super helpful when you’re changing cosmetics in your inventory. Currently, the only way I can see how a certain cosmetic item looks with my character/outfit as a whole is to either switch to the “outfit” tab (which, of course, isn’t an option if I’m changing my headwear, eyewear, or socks) or to exit the “closet” (if you will) entirely. Either way is frustrating. They both add unnecessary extra steps to the process, and they both make me lose my place in looking through my items––which will only become an increasingly more frustrating problem as the game goes on and I acquire more inventory. Speaking of an ever-increasing inventory, I wish there was a way to favorite and/or (but preferably “and”) archive items. I enjoy the product boxes, but sometimes they give me items I’m literally never going to use. That’s not necessarily a bad thing; everyone has different tastes, and I’m sure there are plenty of people who like the items I don’t, just as I’m sure there are plenty of people who hate the items I love. But I also don’t really want items that I’m never, ever going to use to be clogging up my inventory as I’m trying to search through for the ones I do like. And then even if I do like everything in my inventory, there will always be some that I gravitate towards and want to use more frequently than others. Being able to favorite them so I can find them more quickly would make life so much easier. I’d also love it if you could save certain outfits and/or boards. I, like many others I’m sure, like to change my outfits to match my mood (or just to keep things fresh), but I’ve also got certain combinations I frequently like to go back to. Being able to quickly re-equip looks I like I like instead of having to go back into each tab to change each individual item every time I want to switch it up would just make things so much easier. I wish I could change the fit of certain shirts––t-shirts at least, although all tops would honestly be stupendous––to be tighter/looser based on preference. Currently, I feel like most of the tops are very much on the loose-fitting side, especially if one’s character has a feminine body-type. With the exception of a couple baby tees (and the sports bras I guess? not sure that I’d really count those, personally, but I suppose they do ~technically~ count…) there aren’t really any form-fitting tops for feminine bodies. There are a couple tops that are labeled as “tight,” and while those do appear to be more form-fitting on masculine bodies, they’re still fairly loose on feminine ones. I know changing the fit of shirts was an option in earlier skate games, as well as being able to do things like choose if the shirt was tucked in or out, buttoned or unbuttoned, etc., and all of those options being brought back would be so cool. I wish visual board damage would be brought back, too. It’s neat to see scuffs and wear and tear as you use your board, you know? Maybe it could be something that could be turned on/off, so if you didn’t want your board to look all scuffed up it didn’t have to, but it could if you did want. On Game Features Well, I might as well continue with my “things I wish were brought back from older games” spiel as I move on from cosmetic things I guess. With that in mind…. *chanting* HALL OF MEAT! HALL OF MEAT! HALL OF MEAT! Also, I would genuinely pay money to be able to hear Coach Frank instead of Vee. I don’t even need to see him. If Coach Frank’s consciousness has been transferred to a little robot friend, so be it. But please, on bended knee I beg of thee, give me Coach Frank T^T Music. Older skate games had such killer music, and maybe I’m just old and The Youth™ are all about the songs that are included in this new one, but I am….really not. I’d SO love it if a lot of the music from the older games could be brought back in this one! If not, though, at the very least ~please~ add in an option to dislike songs and stop them from playing. Sure, I can favorite songs and then play the playlist of my favorited songs, but…how am I supposed to find more/new songs to favorite if I’m only playing my playlist of favorites? But I don’t want to ~not~ play my playlist of favorites, because there are so many songs that just ~really~ bug me, and they’re the ones that seem to play the absolute most. I would kill for a way to silence them forever… I wish there was a way to join parties/recruit party members for specific challenges. For example, I frequently find myself wishing I could join parties or recruit party members who specifically want to do the Own the Lot challenges, but there’s not really any way of doing that (aside from having Real Friends, which is presumptuous :P). So yeah, if there was a way to recruit/be recruited by people looking to party up for specific challenges, that’d be wicked cool. Sorry again for how long this is, and I don’t know if this will actually be seen by any devs, but yeah. Figured why not give it a shot, y’know? Thanks for reading if you did, especially if you have The Power™ to make these changes (and eSPECially if you actually ~make~ any of them!). Genuinely, though, I’m having such a fun time with this game. Thanks so much for your hard work! The dangers of music getting in the way with skate 4's originality.
Ehh well you know what-I might have to post something about this regardless of not giving very many TUNES a chance. This discussion about the selection of music for skate 4 can be easily resolved with absolute silence as the first skate was and we do not want that now do we? I wish my feedback to be something for us to chew on until things become a little less gen Z-ish and more simplified for example; Tony Hawks Underground first and second soundtrack had more of a questionable connotation than the old Nintendo DS game EA Skate It made in 2008.Solved65Views0likes4Comments
