Feedback: Physics & Community Vibe Improvements

I’ve been enjoying the early access build of skate., but I think there’s a real opportunity to make it feel closer to what made Skate 1–3 so special. Right now, the physics and trick feel come across a little too light and forgiving. Tricks often feel floaty, and bails don’t carry the same weight or consequence that gave the older games their gritty edge.  Im not asking for full-on simulation like Session, but something in between—closer to Skate 3—would strike the right balance. Heavier animations, more grounded board control, and harsher bails would go a long way toward making tricks feel more satisfying.  On top of that the community vibe could lean more into skate culture itself. The earlier games felt like they were made for skaters, with spots, soundtracks, and an atmosphere that reflected the real scene. Adding more authentic, gritty environments, DIY-style spots, and customization options that reflect skate culture would help bring that feeling back.  I know skate. is being built with community input, and I think a lot of players are asking for the same thing: a game that’s approachable but still feels true to skating. Please consider tuning the physics and leaning into that raw skateboarding vibe it’s what made this series stand out.😁

  • I think that if you go to the options menu, there are a few ways to make tricks and bails feel more like the older games. Making it accessible for beginners and veterans alike

Agreed... The default settings are definitely tuned to be more forgiving for new players, but there are a number of different ways to increase the difficulty/realism...
