Hangs on configuring

I had to start over the entire game on a new profile as the game hangs for ages on the black configuring screen. After a while a survey box comes up. I completed this. Then after the DPad is slightly visible but screen is blank. Tried resetting everything but still happens. 

is fine on my sons new profile. Clearly a bug.
