How do I set up Skate on my son's account?

Question

I've been going round in circles for hours now, trying to get Skate for my 11yo son to play on his laptop. We have downloaded EA app to the windows PC. And now we are stuck.
None of the instructions are useful - because he can't search for the game when he's logged in. I'm guessing because of his age. I can't link my account to his account - everything I try is a dead end!
Please can someone give steps how to set this up for him?
