I just started playing the playtest, and I don’t understand everyone’s hate.

As some one who was in high school when original skate came out, and my friends and I would crowd around the tv and play the demo on repeat.  I am thrilled to just be playing this game on a ps5. I agree the characters are a little cartoonish but hopefully this changes with full launch. 
im really enjoying the gameplay and trying to throw down tricks on demand. It seems like transition skating took kind of a hit with this title but hopefully that is fixed. Also the mechanics for falling is a bit chunky but still fun. 

I do agree the climbing aspect is not needed for me. I like to be able to, but to have to scale tall buildings is unnecessary for me and takes away from skating. I saw someone say elevators and this would be true to skating.

anyway I’m having a blast so far and am excited to see how it grows
