There is much less of a sense of momentum than in previous skate games. Everything feels slower

I particularly feel this when skating transition in the rolling waves park. Whenever I come back down from a quarter with some air, my speed just gets stolen and the next transition is wayy lower. Even when pumping it doesn't come back. The only time I don't have problems with this is when I fly myself into a drop.
