my personal suggestions
1. No Photo Challenges / Video Mode
i Personally most often miss creative options like photo challenges or editing clips in order to post combos or make artful montages. (A commenter wrote: "I miss the old clip editor … the editor is pretty bare bones in skate.")
Reddit
Without them, the game may be more surface-level or less expressive.
Restore a clip editor with all of the abilities: angle switching support, replays, slow motion, trick run stitching together.
Add photo challenge modes in which players must shoot certain stances, grinds, transitions, or tricks in set-up photos.
Allow players to "storyboard" trick vids (e.g. rehearse lines, receive graded on style, flow, and presentation).
Offer these features within social / sharing tools (so players can simply brag).
2. No Hall of Meat / Deathraces
The new release is missing some of the crazier, fun modes like Hall of Meat or "deathraces / risk modes" that were part of the personality of the previous games.
Removing them makes the game look even more sanitized and less risky. Critics already call the new game "gentrified" in tone.
Bring back Hall of Meat or something similar: modes where big bails, ragdoll physics, fail tricks are all part of the enjoyment, promoting creative crashes.
Include a "risk / deathrace" mode: high-risk tracks, dangers, time limit, bailing penalties.
Allow players to switch on/off which modes they want (for casual vs hardcore).
Make these modes secondary so that they don't turn off more casual players, but appease long-time players seeking the madness.
3. Community Park "sucking" / weak park system
Community Parks in the new skate. ' are a letdown. Many users complain the community park / map is sterile and boring.
Others comment on how the urban aesthetic is too clean and "sterile" — it just doesn't possess the grittiness, randomness, personality of Skate 3's world.
The park building / "Quick Drop objects" system is without integration or connection to community engagement.
More freedom and level of variety in community parks: allow users to build complex ramps, rails, terrain shifts, obstacles; allow community voting / rating to have the most popular parks shown on the map.
Dynamic / reactive world: weather, time of day, crowd size, temporary events that change park designs.
Randomized small items to break up monotony: graffiti, wear and tear, pins, small objects to skate by, small cracks or bumps.
Better matchmaking / instancing: ensure that players do not drop into dead parks, or waiting rooms with nothing happening. Minimize downtime in parks.
Awards for contributions from users: best user-made parks might get spotlight, rewards, flags, featured events.
4. Adding Items to Steam / PC Marketplace
On Steam / PC, many players want to buy and sell cosmetics, decks, gear via a marketplace / traditional system rather than randomized loot boxes. In the new game, many items are often behind loot boxes, which many feel is unfair.
Many have complained with the phrase: "Why not put each cosmetic on sale … instead of rolling the dice or shelling out cash?"
The current monetization system is criticized as being too corporate / loot box oriented. From What I Heard
Implement a Steam (or PC) marketplace / trading system for cosmetic items, boards, accessories – where players can buy, sell, or trade.
Introduce a buy directly option for cosmetics (no gamble). Enable players to buy exactly what they want rather than by random drops.
Use loot boxes only for holiday or special occasion items, not core costume sets.
Ensure items traded or sold do not upset balance — cosmetics / non-gameplay items only.
Make cross-platform inventory or trading (if feasible), so PC players benefit from additional social economy.
Restore creative modes (clip editor / photo challenges) to enable players to express themselves more than mere tricking.
Restore the risk / chaotic modes (Hall of Meat, deathraces) to restore some of the franchise's edgier allure. and no s.k.a.t.e mode?
Repair / update the community park system so that it's lively, dynamic, social, and interactive—rather than sterile or dead.
implement a market / trading / direct buy system for goods, move away from loot-box gating, return genuine control to the player in the cosmetic economy.
And on a Final Note: ive been getting the same challenges for like 3 days... boooo
