Pc hdmi to tv no longer working after update.

I’m able to play the game fully on my laptop. However when I plug in the hmdi to my tv, I’m only able to play for able 10 seconds until the visuals go out. I still have sound and can control the game, but the screen is just black. I unplugged the tv hmdi and the game comes back on my laptop screen no issues. I have very able gaming laptop and have never experienced anything like this with any other games. Drivers are all up to date. Has any one else experienced this?
