PC: Unable to place Session Marker in tutorial, cannot progress

I’m on PC and the tutorial will not let me place a Session Marker, which blocks progression. When the prompt appears to place the marker, the input is ignored and I cannot advance past that step, so I can’t actually start playing.

I have already tried a lot of troubleshooting. I fully reinstalled the game. I signed out, created a new profile, and tried again. I tested both a PlayStation controller and my keyboard. I switched to Streamlined controls and back. I tried long-pressing and holding the relevant inputs for up to a minute. I also installed the game through Steam, uninstalled it, and then installed it again through the EA app. The issue persists in every case.

I saw a reply to another user a couple of months ago stating there was a hotfix for this, but I’m still experiencing the problem and do not see it resolved on my end. If there is a specific patch, workaround, or file reset I should apply, please let me know. I am happy to provide logs, DxDiag, or a short screen capture if that helps.
