Physics problems?? Nothing feels real or right.
Everything feels kind of forced. Like the board grabs surfaces and refuses to hop when it should. I catch to much speed to go to the ramp but when I get there, I don't jump with the momentum I hit the ramp with. I'm forced into a small jump and end up in a grind on the side of the ramp, or forced into a transition. God forbid I do a fast plant anywhere. Immediate ragdoll faceplant just trying to do basic stuff. The controls make it feel even more awkward and unnatural. It's clunky. Everything about this so far to me feels artificial. It's bad enough the characters look like a facebook avatar, I have to skate with extreme caution or I'll beef it because there isn't enough air. The turning mechanism feels weird as well. It doesn't feel smooth. It's difficult to flip out of grinds. Transitioning off the grind by holding the thumb stick sucks.
You had a great thing going with Skate3. I've watched videos of designers doing character and movement models for this game, which leads me to ask why you would put all this time and effort into a game just to make it worse than it's predecessor?
