Realistic skate competitions
I want EA to create realistic skate competitions in the game for us where participants individually take turns in front of everyone else just like in real competitions, and where there are discerning human judges to rate the performances based on
1) trick difficulty
2) novelty/creativity
3) cleanliness/“physical realism”
4) and of course the ability to land your tricks in a line, not wipe out, etc.
By “physical realism” I mean they could slow down the replay and observe every motion, docking points for glitchy things like the board popping in the middle of the air, the board or person flipping or moving across an obstacle in impossible ways, solid objects impossibly moving through other solid objects, etc… I suspect if physical realism is properly observed like this, then that solves any debate over whether a trick is “realistic” - because people need to realize that just because a trick you see in the game is not exactly something you’ve seen in real life, that doesn’t automatically mean it’s unrealistic or impossible. We ‘should’ be prioritizing wacky crazy talented tricks within some rational framework. So boring easy tricks shouldn’t get more “realism” points simply for being boring and easy. Instead we should be giving the most points to the insanely hard tricks that are well-executed (like how it works in real life).
This has to be done in-game because it’s the only way to ensure all competitors have all the same assists set to zero/off (minus a select few settings which are subjective user preferences).
I guess technically the bare minimum for this to be a reality would be to just make it so one person can create a group and set restrictions on settings for anyone joining the group.
