I totally agree. Right now the RIP score is basically earned only by grinding boxes (and not title boxes) or by buying merch in the in-game store, and that just doesn’t feel right.
The RIP score should reflect the time you actually spend playing and the challenges you complete, not how much money you drop on the game. I really enjoy the game, but tying RIP score to purchases makes it feel a bit “pay-to-win,” which is a mistake. Merch should stay purely cosmetic and never give extra points.
A better system would reward RIP score for real gameplay achievements, such as:
- Completing daily challenges: once you hit level 10 in a zone, swap the XP bonus for RIP score since XP is already maxed.
- Finishing daily and weekly tasks.
- Opening boxes: keep this, but also award RIP score for title boxes.
That way the RIP score would finally represent a player’s skill and dedication instead of their wallet.
