Steam Deck Support?

Anyone else think this would be a fantastic Steam Deck game? I am concerned since this game uses EA Anticheat that we wont ever be able to play this on the steam deck without installing windows.

Adding Steam Deck support would be a huge win for the game. The Steam Deck community is growing fast, and making the game playable there would definitely attract more players and increase the player base.

A lot of people prefer the convenience of handheld gaming, and having to install Windows just to bypass the anti-cheat is a pretty big barrier. If the anti-cheat could be made compatible with Linux/Proton, it would open the door for many Steam Deck users to jump in.

Really hoping the developers consider this. It would make the game much more accessible.

Ea would never add support for anything that doesn't have secure boot...

Skate. is THE game for handheld, especially the steam deck , but we'll probably never get it on steam deck because of the secure boot bs

probably not, considering skate has anti cheat at the windows kernel level. steam deck runs a fork of linux, and at this time, there's not way proton can grab kernel level processes, only windows api at the moment.

Just had this thought a few days ago as well when I tried to run the play test on my steam deck. Would be a shame since I’m having a blast in the play test as it is. The portability that could come with support on the deck would be phenomenal.
