1v1 Duel with Online friends gamemode (concept)

I want the 1v1 duel gamemode in solo mode where you verse the 2nd controller player character with split screen to be an online mode where you can 1v1 your friends (a custom game). I find it to be a fun gamemode to battle your friends with your own characters with your own upgrades than having to play split screen with your friend locally or play hero showdown with your friend on your team. I hope this can be a gamemode in the future.
