Again, I selected jetpack cargo as there has never been the option for co-op.  That said, I've been noticing this bug for a while now, whenever the droids use the AAT it just rolls all around while firing it's siege cannons.  I've also observed it being able to fire it's normal cannons at the same time, almost as if it is switching between the two modes.  It would be nice to have this corrected but I guess we'll see.

  • Also wanted to add on, when the AAT is firing siege mode, it is able to get impossible angle shots such as firing below its own vehicle diameter.  I was just in a match, standing pretty much just underneath the edge of it, and it blasted me with its siege cannon.  Which, considering where I was standing, should've blasted a huge hole in itself.

  • Yeah, I’ve seen this. For the game mode, I would put Capital Supremacy since it’s very similar to Instant Action Supremacy which uses basically the same AI as Co-Op. Either way, I have seen the problem but never really cared to report it. In my opinion, it feels more realistic since I feel like those tanks could fire both the smaller guns and the larger one at the same time.

  • I'm bumping this, because the AI have enough advantages that come with just being an AI. Their aim is intrinsically "aimbot." For their AAT's most powerful ability to be used while mobile, it completely ruins the balance of that ability already. When coupled with the AI's intrinsic aimbot and common deviation from player-realistic aiming restrictions, it can one-shot a player on sight at random. I've been 90 degrees to the AAT's left or right and the energy bolt from its cannon will travel backwards from the end of it just to hit me. It's a little horrendous.

Indeed, the AI is very poorly polished for both online and offline modes. I understand AI is something difficult to implement, but that doesn't save these devs from the very poor choice of trying to bring AI so late in this game's development history.

Trooper AI was the first to come, and because of that it had enough time for some tweaks and fixes. I'm sure most remember how the AI was able to fire while being ragdolled around, or how their melee was so powerful that getting into melee range was a death sentence, even for heroes.

Hero AI came next and oh boy... they behave weirdly. At first the AI wasn't even aware it could choose every hero, it thought some heroes were locked. Fortunately that got fixed. Heroes didn't get much tweaking, but their issues are less obnoxious then the trooper ones (which got fixed) and more importantly the land vehicle ones.

And finally they launched the AI for land vehicles almost at the end of this game's development history. And the vehicles are incredibly broken. IMO this terrible land vehicle AI shouldn't have been added to the game knowing how poorly developed it was, and that devs would jump off boat and leave it as is. But it isn't the only thing they treated like that in this game.

So it's a shame that the offline modes are sooo broken due to poorly implemented AI. Capital Supremacy also suffers from that, but to a much lesser extent because there are only trooper AI there. I guess they didn't know the game would be cancelled so early when they first implemented this AI, but they were certainly aware of that when they launched the land vehicle AI.

Just to finish this, a tip: AI's aimbot loses its efficiency the farther you are from the AI itself. However this tip isn't true for land vehicle AI: their aimbot is impeccable.
