Address Toxicity Issues
Call me a dreamer for wanting a world where nobody is a d*ck on the Internet, but I do hope that something is done post-content-drops for Battlefront 2 that will address players who start breaking ru...
@EA_Aljo Hello, Aljo. I'm sure that EA does deal with the problem to an extent, but regardless of that, I still believe the reporting player should know what action is being taken. Reporting a player, at least for me, feels like suing someone and taking them to court, but being told to leave the courtroom during the proceedings - it feels wrong.
On the matter of the player I mentioned (Gamertag removed), I seriously doubt that he was exploiting a game mechanic. He is the only person I have witnessed cheating in this manner. In addition, I've found that cheaters usually come with toxic behavior in the form of bullying and/or harassing, and this player is no exception. As far as the actual cheating goes, I'm going to look into how the player was cheating after I finish this reply.
In closing, I'd like to address the last paragraph of your post. You tell me that the company is taking a stance on toxicity; however, that brings me no reassurance, knowing that official representatives of EA, which I mentioned in the original post, are not above firing back at people. It does not calm me to hear that EA is working to eliminate toxicity due to my experience with EA_Atic.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
P.S. Still ready to throw down $20.00 (in-game price) for those pre-order appearances. Just read my other posts, I'm not the only one with this sentiment.
Edit: Removed gamertag. It is against the AHQ rules to name and shame - CM
Thank you for your feedback. I don't have anything else to share with you currently, but we are working on reducing toxicity. Keep an eye on our official channels for updates.
It's most definitely not a copied and pasted response. You're welcome to post your thoughts here and we can continue this discussion.
Toxic. I hate the word. It came around about 5 years ago and now it's one of the most overused. Overused and misused.
It’s 3 years later and the toxicity continues. EA won’t do anything. Guess that’s one of the many reasons they lost the Star Wars license.
