@TheGamerSeal Because kids manage to play them anyway. Perhaps it's mostly for the convenience of parents and those who would rather not see profanities in their game.
@FirstOrderSnoke Furthermore, those kids are probably gonna learn profanities much earlier than they would normally if they are playing an M-rated game, regardless of filters.
Do you know how many ways you can type profanities without actually saying the profanity? Replacing one or more letters with a number, putting spaces or periods in between the letters, typing one letter of the word at a time, etc.
