And to those still with the problem, just go to your saved data and delete it. It removes all selected star cards and selected weapons. You just have to re-equip them all. But it cleared it. You also had to redo your sensitivity and whatnot to your preferred setup. But that's it. I still have all my campaign milestones completed and everyrhing.
I thought I was the only one! I have this exact problem with the first slot of my officer class. I too can only access 2/3 slots. It just mimics other classes' star cards. https://imgur.com/a/VnrKl

Is there a fix for this issue yet? It's a major issue that severely messes up gameplay. Any word from a mod would be appreciated...

When I submitted the big report it said they don't respond and to simply watch patch notes for fixes. That major overhaul patch in march said something about fixing a star card issue. Something about players receiving benefits from star cards from the wrong classes. My bet is thats what happened, but the patch didnt take the cards out of the slots, only negated their bonuses.
I've had that star card as long as I can remember opening the game. I didn't know it was for the wrong class and it wasnt level 10 because I hardly got any of those star cards which was how the old levels worked, so I couldn't access the 3rd slot at the time to remove it. I didn't get my aerial unit to 10 until after the major patch so I never was able to select that specific star card location and remove it.
They changed the way star cards are chosen so now it's stuck but good. You used to be able to select the star card position, then select the card that goes into that position. If we could do that, problem sovled. But they made it so you select 3 star cards and they auto get placed. So, now afaik its stuck there until a dev access our accounts and gets in and fixes them manually on their end. Or, they must revert back to how star cards were chosen originally. I highly doubt either will happen, which means we will probably have to wait until another massive change in the game like the one in March.

Actually, now that I think of that massive patch notes, it caused the very issues it was supposed to fix. My account never had the yellow noy ifications stuck on the troops and characters showing something new. It worked perfectly for me. My gieelfriends account however, did have a couple of her units that always had the yellow marker on.
That massive patch in March said it fixed those issues. And it did. She no longer has the yelliw notifications. But now I do. Only my base troopers, base starfighters and vehicles turn the yellow notification off. Everything else in my collection has the yellow notification stuck on. I had everything unlocked before the patch, my gf did not.
So that patch actually caused the very issues it fixed for other people. The star card stuck and the permanent yellow notifications.
