My game just crashes everytime I "play"
What system are you playing on? When exactly are you crashing?

I'm playing on a 1080ti 7700K with windows 10 and it keeps crashing after I launch the game. It won't show anything but a black screen for a few seconds then it crashes to desktop. I've re-installed and tried countless fixes with DX12 and DX11. I've repaired the game in Origin about 5 times now. I'm at a loss for what to do.

Are your graphics drivers up to date? If so, can you try rolling them back to a version you had that worked?

@EA_Aljo I did everything I could to get it to work. Updating my graphics card drivers would be one of the first things a person of normal intelligence would do to try and remedy their problem. I did not play for months before your latest update. I logged in to origin with an older nvidia driver, updated the game and it wouldn't start. It would constantly crash to desktop. Just a perpetual black screen for 10 seconds or so. I then updated my graphics drivers which did nothing. I googled for hours into suspected fixes like switching boot options to make sure it runs in a certain DirectX. Nothing worked. I suspect it has nothing to do with drivers. It's a complete mess up on EA's end. 2 days after my initial troubleshooting I am still re-installing the game and trying to roll back compatibility to windows 7 and 8.1 which did nothing. I finally said F it and uninstalled origin and bf2. Completely removed the game and origin launcher from my computer. I then installed everything again and guess what? It still didn't work. It kept crashing to desktop. I finally gave up and waited another day. All of a sudden it decided to work after I ran it as administrator another 10 or so times. It's pretty annoying to waste almost 3 days of my life to play this game that was disappointing from the beginning. No love for those of us who bought the ultimate edition($80) pretty much the day this was released 2 years ago.
We've had to deal with developer shortcomings for years now. All of a sudden the game is updated to what it should have been at launch and I can't even play it due to issues on your end? I wish I could get a refund still. You may ask "why didn't you create a ticket with technical support?" I've tried that before and frankly, I do not want to deal with your support team in India. They have no idea what they are doing. In the beginning when the game was released, if you played on anything higher than 1080p on an ultrawide monitor, when you moved the camera left to right really fast(your FOV) it would turn parts of the game into a green shade that was almost unplayable.I thought my graphics card(EVGA 1080TI SC2) was artifacting it was so bad. Their fix was to just play in lowest settings possible in 1080p. Why would I pay $80 dollars on top of the thousands I already spent on my computer set up to play in 1080p because your developers never fully optimized the game before release for resolutions above 1080p? It doesn't happen now thankfully, but if you look at my screenshot you can see how the game still isn't optimized 100% for ultrawide or dual monitor set ups. Which I have both of. Why do I still give my money to EA. First this game, then Anthem. Rant over.
