Problem is fixed now. Did the hotfix and also changed the region to UK. Not sure if one or both contributed to the fix but anyway...its fine. Thanks for the help

I just changed the Xbox location settings to UK and now it works fine. The text above was right justified, which made me think it was trying to render Arabic as it was previously set to Saudi Arabia. Seems setting it to a Western country does the trick? My xbox has alwats been set to Saudi Arabia for location though, ever since i bought it and as I said, BFII was fine until the early May update.

Changing the console region to UK will fix the issue but this is far from convenient. This will switch my Microsoft store on Xbox to the UK as well instead of my country which is a total mess! Each time I need to purchase or download anything from my store I need to switch the region and restart the console.
I reported the problem to EA call center 2 month back and they promised it will be fixed in the next update ... Of course it wasn't.
I believe they don't care
