I have BF2 for Xbox one and am considering getting it for PC but for the sole purpose of using cosmetic mods. I saw some that change Darth maul to his Solo appearance and I think that's really cool so want to check if I am allowed to use them online as long as they are cosmetic. It's the only reason I'd be getting the PC version to be honest, so do you think this will be ok? Thanks!
@XtraNeonLightsNot officially as far as I can recall, but as long as you're using cosmetic mods only you should be safe.
I'm playing with skin and sound mods all the time and no problems so far, same goes for other players.
There have been troubles far for some players in the past, but these had to do with specific mods that had some dirty edits and were obviously not tested carefully enough by their authors.
Nowadays you shouldn't encounter such problems anymore.

@XtraNeonLights Mods will always have a risk. Using cosmetic mods for the most part will be fine but you will have a chance of getting banned, even if very small, no matter what.
