Audio drop out on PC, often single channel (left side)

Hi there

This problem has been occurring for the past few months, and perhaps even since the games release.

Whereby periodically the audio from one channel/speaker will drop out entirely, then reappear anywhere from 30 seconds, to 5 minutes later. Sometimes all audio will drop out entirely but for me the single channel drop out is far more frequent.

Any idea as to the cause of this and if there are attempts being made to fix it?

Cheers!

That the audio drops out is probably the same bug, but the single channel one might be caused by your system, @SYNCHRONICDESIGN

I read in some other post you made that you have reinstalled the visual drivers and I would suggest doing the same for your audio drivers. From your description it doesn't seem to depend on the audio device you used.

If that didn't solve it, I would try to repair the game inside Origin or reinstall the game (after clearing out all the cache).

Could you try those things and see if that resolves the audio issues?

    Thanks,

  • Hello @SYNCHRONICDESIGN  and thanks for reporting in!

There is this issue with the sound that it frequently drops out and after a certain time pops in again. I've never read anything about difference between left and right channel.

Could you please read the posts and watch the videos in this audio bug post here, and see if you're having the same issue?

    Thanks,

  • Sometimes I get that version of the bug too (complete silent/lack of audio), but nowadays I am more frequently just losing one side of the audio, perhaps it is the result of some attempted fix, that has not fully remedied the situation.

This happens both on headphones connected directly to the rear PC speaker port (green stereo channel), and also when using studio monitor speakers connected via a USB sound device with it's own drivers.

  • Considering the bug happens both with normal windows audio device drivers (3.5mm jack headphones into rear speaker port on PC) and my USB interface (third party Fractal Audio USB audio drivers) I don't think drivers are the issue.

I'll try re-installing the game sometime soon though.

    Cheers!
