Aus Population?

Question

What's up.Just wanna say first I loved the first battlefront, so much so I put over 500 hours into it. So was thinking of picking this up but the thing is it's been out for a while now and judging how the first battlefronts pop was so low 2 years in, I'd imagine it's the same for this game...So can any AUS players confirm if it's even worth picking up now? Is it hard to find a match? Plan on picking it up for the PS4...

I work irregular hours so I server hop frequently at different times each day.

The Australia server is mostly dead except for the usual after work to midnight hours in that timezone. Even then, you'll be lucky to get a full GA or supremacy match that can sustain for at least 2-3 maps.

If you want a server that has games going almost round the clock you may want to try the Germany or both US servers. But you'll need to subscribe to a ping reducing service like WTFast or Mudfish in order to get an acceptable gaming experience (150ms or lower).

I'm speaking as a PC player btw. Not sure how the game population is like on consoles.

@wazza_thadog I'm in Aus on PS4 and have been playing the game since day one. Really enjoy it and plan on playing it for a long time to come.

Since its bad launch (hasn't been pay2win since launch), it's only gotten better in terms of player count and content (it received 2.5 years of updates in total). And the game is free this whole month on PS4 so if you're on the platform there's no reason not to download it.

There's always matches of GA, Supremacy, HvV and Co-Op during weeknights, and throughout the weekends of course as they're the most popular modes (that's all you'll find in Aus). I use the American and European servers to find matches of Strike / Extraction and Blast, Co-op too if you want to quickly level up stuff. There's also mini events every Mon, Wed and Fri which "make up" for no more support.

If you're picking up the game for the first time you're gonna have so much to do, which is what you'll want.

Ps4 the population is the highest for this game and it exploded with PS+ crew. You can't go wrong getting there. I really hope Ps5 will be b/c with this game.
