battle front 2 crashed computer

I have been having this problem when launching the game and it will crash my whole PC. I can’t open task managers and I have to press the power bottom to shut my computer. I have a decent computer and it does not happen to any of my other games. I have tried launching from epic games and Origin. I have tried disabling the anti-virus, I have tried “repair” on the game, I have reinstalled origin and SWBF 2 multiple times. I have even hard reset my computer getting rid of all its memory and files. I have a decent computer - A Geforce 1080-ti and an i7. I have been struggling with this issue for a couple of days now, reading forums and youtube videos. Nothing has worked so far, any ideas?

  • Hey, @l3mon05  make sure that all drivers for windows are up to date, also worth to reinstall the GPU drivers for your PC.

You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

What do you mean by "hard reset my computer" what did you do?

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

  • Thank You for the response!, I have made sure my drivers and windows are all up to date. I have reinstalled my GeForce GPU. I have tried a clean boot and that did not change anything. I have also tried turning off the windows protector. When referring to a hard reset I deleted everything on my drivers and installed windows and all my games back.  I have added my DxDiag to this message. Thanks again!

@l3mon05 thanks for the details! What kind PSU do you have and is anything overclocked?
