Battle Points

Hello EA.
Have been reading through your online help menu for BFII. I read that you only earn battle points when playing multiplayer. Does Multiplayer mean online play? I have absolutely no interest in online play. And I think being forced to make in game purchases to level up is a disgusting practice. So does this mean I can never level up or unlock new characters?
  • I think you'll find yourself VERY disappointed with the lack of offline content my man.

And also, you can earn battle points offline, but it seems like your confusing them with credits. Credits are what unlocks you star card items. Battle points are strictly for unlocking heroes and enforcers etc during the current game match.

I agree, this is quickly becoming the ultra competitive unfun online game that Battlefront 1 was. Online im generally always upper middle of the board and almost never play as a hero or really have any fun whatsoever. This game only rewards the top 3 players, and who cares about things like Emotes and Victory stances when that victory board is something even as a decent player I almost never get on. I mean seriously ive played this game since the week before launch, im level 22 and usually land around 5th or 6th online and never get to be a hero. EA you need to run a server of the entire online game but with AI thats difficulty controlled, thats how most people will enjoy the game for years to come like the original BF2. Speaking of which you need to go back and do the same with the first EA battlefront, AI servers to give people the entire online game without having to play the experts.

And seriously unless you land in the top 3 of every match your chances of being a hero are almost zero.

Im with you on that, i reluctantly play online just to experience the full content of the game and usually I land 5th or so in each match but even then I almost never get to play as heros or really enjoy the game. The lack of offline content is frustrating. EA you guys need to do better or this game will be forgotten over the years unlike its lucasarts predecessor. It really cant be that hard to dedicate a server to online maps with AI only?

Youve got that mostly right other than credits dont exactly permanently unlock a hero but only unlock them in Heros vs Villians and unlocks your chance to play as a hero in GA, still if youre not in the top 3 of the match youll likely never get the battle points to actually use said heros.
