Battlefront 2 100% CPU usage

Recently I have been having some problems with Star Wars Battlefront 2. The game runs perfectly on any graphics preset

but after a while it crashes due to high cpu usage. Does anyone know a quick fix?

These are my pc specs:

MSI Geforce GTX 1050

Amd Athlon x4 860k quad core cpu

8gb RAM

1TB Hard Drive

450W Corsair Power Supply

The RivaTuner trick does not work for me with lasted Amd driver. (so after 17.2.x)
I noticed that with DX12 the cpu problem goes away, but the gpu is always 100% loaded. So one problem solved, and another one came

  •  There is actually a really simple fix! I had the same issue and I couldn't even play the game on the lowest settings, now I can keep my CPU around 60% all while running my game on max settings.

For some unknown reason EA does not allow the frame rate to capped in battlefront so most peoples system try to run it at 300 fps which very few CPUs can handle. What you need to do is download some third party software that will cap the frame rate for you.

Here's a youtube link showing you how to do this:

You should probably mention that limiting the FPS using third party applications or options like vsync will cause various degrees of input lag.
