Wanted to add that on the day of posting this, I am having a very similar problem. I play aerial troopers frequently, and after the latest Scarif update, every time I use my left star card ability as an aerial trooper, my game will freeze while my character is in mid air and after a few seconds my game client will crash and close. This seems to be fairly consistent and really stops me from playing the game. Hopefully a fix comes soon. I am on PC using an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card, if that helps.
Happens to me very often on Xbox. I enjoy aerial so much so I get the crash one to two times every play session
