Will EA create a cross platform for Star Wars battlefront 2 so Xbox and ps4 players can play together and play with their friends on the game

Unfortunately, we don't have any plans for bringing the cross-platform play to Star Wars Battlefront II.

hey, i am just wondering. why is not crossplay on battlefront 2. i am sure that when you set the game FREE on epic games, many PC players would love to play with other friend on Xbox or PS4.
Apex Legends already has crossplay so why Battlefront 2 does not have crossplay.
I would love to see crossplay update.
Note: i love Star Wars Battlefront 2 and it is best game i have ever played. But i would really love to play with my friend that is on PS4.

yeah i agree I don't mind them ending support on Battlefront 2 to work on different projects but they should of added CP to help populate the pc pool and also people can play with friends across different platforms.
After The Mandalorian series season 2 is finished and Epic Game Store is giving for free the game, is it now a time to come back to the game and bring the optional cross play platform?
Smaller studios and publishers have been that before, so why not you and in short term?
Community have been growing last days and since Christmas so... Now is the perfect time to continue with Star Wars universe while fans wait for the upcoming series.

I want to start by saying my friends and I have not ran into a single hacker on PC.
I play on PC with my brother and a friend we're all fathers and would love to play with our sons who play on PS4. We all love the game and wish we had found it sooner. EA could definitely fund this project & provide support for this game again.
Battlefront II just came out in 2017, this isn't a sports game. EA just added crossplay to NFS Heat(Released 2019) in June of 2020, just 6 months ago. I do not think it is unreasonable to add crossplay to Battlefront II. I feel their greed with the p2w model on a $60 game really hindered the success this game deserved crossplay would speak volumes to community and the Star Wars brand as a whole.
As a compromise if they announce Battlefront III with cross-platform support I could forget this whole thing.

Literally no one hacks this game.
I have no idea what kind of hacks they would even be able to use to gain an advantage.
Played plenty and never ever come across a suspect player.
Cross play is the only way forward end of story and it HAS to be added.
